The top "Enclosure" is a thermoformed polycarbonate that is clear front and back and painted black on three sides to keep unwanted eyes off your radar detector.
The bottom mounting "Plate" is made from high-impact UV- resistant polypropylene. A radar detector sits on the Plate (normally secured by hook-and-loop or Dual-Lock) and is covered by the enclosure. The holes and slots line up and get locked together and to the MotoLocker Frame, as shown below.
This view shows the Enclosure and Plate aligned and locked together by the Frame's Locking Bar. Note the nylon screw on the bottom that is used to hold the Radar Box in a given position on the Frame.
The tab at the front of the Radar Box catches the front bar of the Frame to secure the Radar Box in place.
The Locking Bar passes through the hole in the Radar Box and then is locked into the Frame.
In addition to the MotoLocker version of the Radar Box, a Universal Version is available for use on other mounting systems.
